Ettie Pricilla was born on June 20th, 1891 in Columbiana, Shelby Co., AL.1 Ettie Pricilla's father was Jepe Kirkham McEwen and her mother was Malissa Jane Bazemore. Her paternal grandparents were Francis Marion McEwen and Lena Olive Ransome Melton; her maternal grandparents were William Thomas Jefferson, Jr. Bazemore and Eliza Ann Veasey. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Marion Jack, Charles Kirkham, Carl William, Sadie Lee, Robbie Oresta, Annie Olive, Lilla M. and Edna Gertrude. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 74 on December 26th, 1965 in AL. She was buried in Methodist Cemetery, Weogufka, Coosa Co., AL.1 1 General Notes
