Sadie Lee was born on November 8th, 1889 in Shelby Co., AL.1 Sadie Lee's father was Jepe Kirkham McEwen and her mother was Malissa Jane Bazemore. Her paternal grandparents were Francis Marion McEwen and Lena Olive Ransome Melton; her maternal grandparents were William Thomas Jefferson, Jr. Bazemore and Eliza Ann Veasey. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Marion Jack, Charles Kirkham, Carl William, Ettie Pricilla, Robbie Oresta, Annie Olive, Lilla M. and Edna Gertrude. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 70 on February 23rd, 1960 in AL. She was buried in Weogufka Methodist Church Cemetery, Weogufka, Coosa Co., AL.1 1 -
