John Thomas McEwen 
John Thomas was born on January 23rd, 1864 in AL.1 John Thomas' father was Francis Marion McEwen and his mother was Lena Olive Ransome Melton. His paternal grandparents were Jasper Kirkham McEwen and Mary Ann Canada; his maternal grandparents were Jesse Mercer Melton and Nancy E. Worrell. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Jepe Kirkham, George Robert, William Sanford, Benjamin Franklin, Frank Houston, Sarah Louisa, Susan B., Nancy Josephine, Mary Ann Katherine and Ida Lee. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 79 on June 26th, 1943 in Wilsonville, Shelby Co., AL. old place four miles north of here and will take charge of the McEwen
