William Sanford McEwen 
William Sanford was born on May 8th, 1872 in AL.1 William Sanford's father was Francis Marion McEwen and his mother was Lena Olive Ransome Melton. His paternal grandparents were Jasper Kirkham McEwen and Mary Ann Canada; his maternal grandparents were Jesse Mercer Melton and Nancy E. Worrell. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Jepe Kirkham, John Thomas, George Robert, Benjamin Franklin, Frank Houston, Sarah Louisa, Susan B., Nancy Josephine, Mary Ann Katherine and Ida Lee. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 78 in June 1950 in Wilsonville, AL. He was buried in Wilsonville Cemetery, Wilsonville, Shelby Co., AL.1 1 -
