George Robert McEwen 
George Robert was born on April 9th, 1868 in Coosa Co., AL.1 George Robert's father was Francis Marion McEwen and his mother was Lena Olive Ransome Melton. His paternal grandparents were Jasper Kirkham McEwen and Mary Ann Canada; his maternal grandparents were Jesse Mercer Melton and Nancy E. Worrell. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Jepe Kirkham, John Thomas, William Sanford, Benjamin Franklin, Frank Houston, Sarah Louisa, Susan B., Nancy Josephine, Mary Ann Katherine and Ida Lee. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 55 in 1923 in Wilsonville, Shelby Co., AL. He was buried in Wilsonville Cemetery, Wilsonville, Shelby Co., AL.1 1 General Notes
