Henry De was born about 1235 in Ashill, Norfolk, England.  Henry De's father was Henry De Hastings [Lord Hastings] and his mother was Ada De Huntingdon Princess Of Scotland/Le Scott.  His paternal grandparents were William De Hastings and Margaret (Margery) Bigod; his maternal grandparents were David Earl Of Huntingdon [Prince Of Scotl and Maud De Meschines [Countess Of Hun. He had a brother and three sisters, named John I De, Ida De, Maud De and Eleanor (Hillaria).  He was the second oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers named Richard and William De.  He was buried in Grey Frier's, Coventry, Warwickshire, England.

‌Henry De and Joan De were married in a religious ceremony about 1255.  They had two sons and three daughters, named John 1St Baron De, Edmund, Audra, Lora De and Margaret.
