Hamelin was born in 1130 in Normandy, France.  Hamelin's father was Count Of Anjou Geoffrey IV Plantagenet Count Of Anjou/Le Bon and his mother was [Concubine] Adelaide Of Angers [Concubine].  His paternal grandparents were [King Jerusalem] Foulques V Fulk V Count Of [King Jerusalem]/Anjou and [Countess Of Anj Ermangarde (Ermentrude) De Ermengarde Du [Countess Of Anj/Maine; his maternal grandparents were King Henry I "Beauclerc" England King and [Princess] Matilda Princess Of Matilda Of [Princess]/Scotland. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Geoffrey VI "Mantell", Guillaume, Henry II "Plantagenet", Agnes and Emme D'.  He died at the age of 72 on May 7th, 1202 in Lewes, Sussex, England.  He was buried in Chapter House, Lewes, Sussex, England.

‌Hamelin and Isabel De were married in a religious ceremony in April 1164 in Surrey, England.  They had two sons and six daughters, named William De, Geoffrey, Ida (Isabel), Adela (Ela), Maud Plantagenet De, Suzanne Plantagenet De, Margaret and Mary De.
