Simon I De was born about 1025 in Montfort-L'amaury Castle, Ile-DE-France, France.  Simon I De's father was Amaury II Seigneur De Montfort and his mother was Betrade De Gometz. He had three brothers and a sister, named Hugh De, Mainer De, Amaury III De and Eve De.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died in 1087 in Epernon, Normandy, France.  He was buried in Epernon, Normandy, France.
