Hugh 'The Great' was born in 1050 in Vermandois, Normandy, France.  Hugh 'The Great''s father was Henry I Capet King Of France [King] and his mother was Anna Agnesa Yaroslavna Of Kiev [Queen France].  His paternal grandparents were Robert II "The Pious" France [King] and Constance De Provence [Queen France]/Toulouse; his maternal grandparents were Jaroslaus I "The Wise" Grand Duke Of Kiev and Ingeborg Of Olafsdottir [Princess]/Sweden. He had two brothers and a sister, named Philip I The Fair Capet Of, Robert and Emma.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 51 on October 18th, 1101 in Tarsus, Sicily.  He was buried in St Paul DE Tarse - Marquis Orleans, Count Amiens, Paris, Valois, & Vermandois.


Hugh 'The Great''s family with Adelaide De Vermandois [Countess]

‌Hugh 'The Great' and Adelaide De were married in a religious ceremony in 1064 in France.  They had five sons and seven daughters, named Raoul I, Henry, Simon De, William De, Son De, Agnes De, Maud (Matilda) De, Emma Avice De, Constance De, Beatrice De, Isabel Elizabeth De and Daughter De.
