Adeliza (Alice) De was born about 1085 in Clare, Suffolk, Eng and her baptism took place in Of, Clare, Suffolk, England.  Adeliza (Alice) De's father was Gilbert Fitz Richard De Clare [Earl Hertford] and her mother was Adeliza De Clermont.  Her paternal grandparents were [Lord De Bienfai Richard Fitzgilbert 1St Earl De Clare [Lord De Bienfai and Rohese Giffard; her maternal grandparents were Hugh I De Creil Clermont [Count Cleremont] and Margaret De Montdidier [Countess Of Cle. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Walter De, Baldwin Fitzgilbert De, Richard Fitz Gilbert De, Gilbert "Strongbow" De, Hervey De, Hawise De, Margaret De, Agnes De and Rohesia De. She had a half-brother named John "The Marshall".  She died about 1163 in England.
