Roger was born about 1150 in Norfolk, Norfolk, England and his baptism took place in Of, Framlingham, Suffolk, England.  Roger's father was [Earl Of Norfolk] Hugh Bigod [Earl Of Norfolk] and his mother was [Countess Of Nor Juliana De Vere [Countess Of Nor.  His paternal grandparents were [Earl Of East Anglia & Norfolk] Roger Bigod [Earl Of East Anglia & Norfolk] and Adeliza De Grentmesnelle; his maternal grandparents were (Justicar Of England) Aubrey II Alberic De Vere (Justicar Of England) and [A Nun] Adeliza (Alice) De Clare [A Nun]. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Baldwin, Hugh, Simon, Nicholas, William, Isabel and Julia.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died before August 1221 in Thetford, Norfolk, England.  He was buried before August 2nd, 1221 in Thetford, Norfolk, England.
