Ranulph "De Gernon" was born in 1099 in Guernon Castle, Normandy, France.  Ranulph "De Gernon"'s father was Ranulph De Meschines 3rd Earl Of Chester and his mother was Lucy (Lucia) Of Mercia.  His paternal grandparents were Viscount Of Bayeux Ranulph De Meschines Viscount Of Bayeux and Margaret D' Avranches; his maternal grandparents were Turold Sheriff Of Lincoln Sheriff Of Lincoln/Buckingham and Alvarissa Malet. He had a brother and a sister, named William De and Adeliza Alice De.  He was the second oldest of the three children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William De, William De, Lucy De and Beatrice De.  He died at the age of 54 on December 16th, 1153 in Chester, Cheshire, England.  He was buried in St Werburgh, Chester, Cheshire, England.

‌Ranulph "De Gernon" and Maud Fitzrobert De were married in a religious ceremony about 1141 in Gloucestershire, England.  They had two sons and three daughters, named Richard De, Hugh De Meschines Earl Of, Alice De, Johanna De and Beatrix De Gernons.
