Emma De was born about 1029 in Conteville, Eure, Normandy, France.  Emma De's father was [Vicount] Harlevin ( Herluin) Conteville [Vicount] and her mother was Arlette Herleve De Falaise. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Odo Bishop Of, Robert De, Andre Seigneur De, Muriel De, Mathilde De, Miss De, Adelaide De and Isabella De. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William I "The Conqueror" King Of and Adeliza Of Normandy Countess Of.  She died in France.
