Henry was born in Bermondsey Palace,Surrey,England.  Henry's father was King Henry II Plantagenet Of England and his mother was Duchess Eleanor De Aquitaine.  His paternal grandparents were Count Geoffrey V (The Fair) Plantagenet Of Anjou and Empress Matilda De Normandy Of The Holy Roman Empire, Queen Of England; his maternal grandparents were Duke William X (The Toulousan) De Poiters Of Aquitaine and Eleanor De La Roche Of Chatellerault. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, Richard I, Geoffrey IV, Lackland, Matilda, Eleanor and Joan. He had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Longespee, Hugh, Richard, Geoffrey, Peter, Morgan, Matilda, Mary and Alisa.  He died  due to dysentery on June 11th, 1183 in Martel Castle,Quercy,France.

‌Henry and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on November 2nd, 1160.  They had a son named John (William).
