Eleanor was born in 1122 in Chateau de Berlin,France.  Eleanor's father was Duke William X (The Toulousan) De Poiters Of Aquitaine and her mother was Eleanor De La Roche Of Chatellerault.  Her paternal grandparents were Count William IX De Poiters and Phillippa De Taillefer Of Toulouse; her maternal grandparents were Viscount Aimeri I De La Roche Of Chatellerault and Dangereuse (Maubergeonne) De Bouchard Of The Isle Bouchard. She had a brother and a sister, named William and Alix Petronille.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 82 on April 1st, 1204 in Poitiers or Fontervrault,France.  She was buried in Fontevrault Abbey,Maine-et-Loire,France.


Eleanor's first family with King  Louis VII Capet of France

‌Eleanor and Louis VII were married in a religious ceremony on July 22nd, 1137 in Bordeaux Cathedral,Bordeaux,France.  Their marriage was annulled.  They had two daughters named Mary and Alisa.


Eleanor's second family with King Henry II Plantagenet Of England

‌Eleanor and Henry II were married in a religious ceremony on May 18th, 1152 in Bordeaux Cathedral,Bordeaux,France.  They had five sons and three daughters, named William, Richard I, Geoffrey IV, Lackland, Henry, Matilda, Eleanor and Joan.
