Geoffrey V, known as The Fair, was born on August 24th, 1113 in Anjou,France.1   The Fair's father was King Foulques V De Anjou Of Jerusalem, Count Of Anjou and his mother was Viscountess Constance Maud Ermengarde Of Maine.  His paternal grandparents were Count Foulques IV (The Rude) De Anjou and Lady Bertrade De Montfort; his maternal grandparents were King Henry I (Beaucleric, Fine Scholar) De Normandy Of England and Edith Sigulfsdoittir Concubine. He had a brother and two sisters, named Helias, Matilda and Sybill Mabirie. He had three half-brothers named Baldwin III, Almaric I and Richard I.  He died at the age of 38 on September 7th, 1151 in Chateau,Eure-et-Loire,France.  He was buried on September 11th, 1151 in St. Julian's Church,le Mans,Maine,France.2 1 


The Fair's first family with Empress Matilda De Normandy Of The Holy Roman Empire, Queen Of England

‌The Fair and Matilda were married in a religious ceremony on May 22nd, 1128 in le Mans Cathedral,Anjou,France.3   They had five sons and a daughter, named Hamelin, Geoffey V, Henry II, Geoffrey VI, William and Emma.
