Matilda, known as Edith, was born in 1078 in Dunfermline,Fife,Scotland.1   Edith's father was King Malcolm III (Longneck) Ceanmor Of Scotland and her mother was Saint Margaret Atheling.  Her paternal grandparents were King Duncan I (The Gracious) Ceanmor Of Scotland and Lady Sybil De Northumberia; her maternal grandparents were Prince Edward (The Exile) De Wessex Of England and Princess Agatha De Hungary. She had six brothers and a sister, named Edward, Edmund, Ethelred, Edgar, Alexander I, The Saint and Mary.  She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She had three half-brothers named Duncan II, Malcolm and Donald.  She died at the age of 40 on May 1st, 1118 in Westminster,Palace,London,England.  She was buried in June 1118 in Church of St. Peter,Westminster,Middlesex,England.1 1

‌Edith and Beaucleric, Fine Scholar were married in a religious ceremony in 1095 in WESTMINSTER ABBEY,LONDON.1   They had two sons and three daughters, named Atheling, Richard, Elizabeth, Euphamia and Matilda.
