David I, known as The Saint, was born in 1082 in Scotland.1   The Saint's father was King Malcolm III (Longneck) Ceanmor Of Scotland and his mother was Saint Margaret Atheling.  His paternal grandparents were King Duncan I (The Gracious) Ceanmor Of Scotland and Lady Sybil De Northumberia; his maternal grandparents were Prince Edward (The Exile) De Wessex Of England and Princess Agatha De Hungary. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Edward, Edmund, Ethelred, Edgar, Alexander I, Edith and Mary.  He was the second youngest of the eight children. He had three half-brothers named Duncan II, Malcolm and Donald.  He died at the age of 71 on May 24th, 1153 in Carlisle,Cumberland,England.  He was buried in Dunfermline,Fifeshire,Scotland.1 1

‌The Saint and Matilda were married in a religious ceremony in 1113.1   They had two sons and two daughters, named Malcom, Henry, Claricia and Hodierna.
