Robert II, known as Curthose, was born in 1053 in ,,Normandy,France.1   Curthose's father was King William I (The Couqueror) De Normandy Of England and his mother was Matilda De Flanders.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Robert I (The Devil) De Normandy and Lady Arlotta(Herleva) Fulbertsdoittir Of Falaise; his maternal grandparents were Earl Baldwin V (The Pious) De Gaunt Of Flanders and Princess Adela Capet Of France. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Richard, Rufus 'The Red', Beaucleric, Fine Scholar, Cecilia, Adela, Constance, Gundred, Agatha, Adeliza and Mathilda.  He was the oldest of the eleven children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named The Elder, Gerbod II and Gundred.  He died in Cardiff,Wales.  He was buried in St Peters Church,,Gloucester,England.1

‌Curthose were married in a religious ceremony in May 1100 in ,,Apulia,Italy.
