Matilda Billung Of Saxony

Matilda was born about 0940 in Saxony,Germany.¹   Matilda's father was Duke  Herman Billung Of Saxony and her mother was Hildegarde De Westerbourge.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Billung De Thuringia and Alda (Athalia) De Italy. She had a brother and three sisters, named Bernard I, Schwanhilde, Bertha and Oda.  She died on July 25th, 1008.¹ 

‌Matilda and Godfrey were married in a religious ceremony in 0951 in <,,,Saxony>.  They had four sons and four daughters, named Gozelo I, Frederick, Godfrey I, Hermann, Bonne Adelaide, Ermentrude, Gerberge and Regilla.

‌Matilda and Baldwin III were married in a religious ceremony in 0961 in ,,France.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Arnulf II, Jean and Bertha.
