Adela was born about 1062 in Normandy,France.  Adela's father was King William I (The Couqueror) De Normandy Of England and her mother was Matilda De Flanders.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke Robert I (The Devil) De Normandy and Lady Arlotta(Herleva) Fulbertsdoittir Of Falaise; her maternal grandparents were Earl Baldwin V (The Pious) De Gaunt Of Flanders and Princess Adela Capet Of France. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Curthose, Richard, Rufus 'The Red', Beaucleric, Fine Scholar, Cecilia, Constance, Gundred, Agatha, Adeliza and Mathilda.  She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named The Elder, Gerbod II and Gundred.  She died in Marcigny-sur-Loire,France.  She was buried in ABBEY OF HOLY TRINITY,CAEN,NORMANDY.
