Walter Clay Piper 
Walter Clay was born on January 14th, 1896 in Fayette County,KY. Walter Clay's father was Augustus Bowman Piper and his mother was Lucy Willard Hammond. His paternal grandparents were William Chauncey Piper and Mary Lavinia Sims. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Edward Sims, James Augustus, Lewis Allie, George Bowman, Nelle Sanford, Mary Hammond, Lula Allen, Artemisia and Ann Coleman. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 34 on November 21st, 1930 in Lexington,Fayette Co.,KY.General Notes
