Edward Sims Piper 
Edward Sims was born on May 29th, 1890 in Fayette County,KY. Edward Sims' father was Augustus Bowman Piper and his mother was Lucy Willard Hammond. His paternal grandparents were William Chauncey Piper and Mary Lavinia Sims. He had four brothers and five sisters, named James Augustus, Walter Clay, Lewis Allie, George Bowman, Nelle Sanford, Mary Hammond, Lula Allen, Artemisia and Ann Coleman. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 21 on November 22nd, 1911 in Franklin Co.,KY.General Notes
Little is known about him except that he was confined to the State Febble Minded Institute in Frankfort, KY, where his Mother visited him every month via horse & buggy for 30 miles each way.
