James Augustus Piper 
James Augustus was born on September 4th, 1891 in Fayette County,KY. James Augustus' father was Augustus Bowman Piper and his mother was Lucy Willard Hammond. His paternal grandparents were William Chauncey Piper and Mary Lavinia Sims. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Edward Sims, Walter Clay, Lewis Allie, George Bowman, Nelle Sanford, Mary Hammond, Lula Allen, Artemisia and Ann Coleman.
