Rose, known as Rosa, was born on July 26th, 1859 in Bethnal Green.1   Rosa's father was Abraham  Heiser and her mother was Sarah Levy.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Heiser and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Barnett  (Judah) Levy and Elizabeth Levy. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, Michael, Reuben, Harris, Joseph, David, Solomon, Lewis, Miriam, Julia, Betsy and Priscilla.  She was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children.  She died at the age of 72 on December 31st, 1931 in Philadelphia.1

Rosa and Benjamin were married in a religious ceremony on October 6th, 1880 in Bevis Marks.2   They had four sons and six daughters, named Benjamin, Samuel, James, Reuben, Esther, Elizabeth, Sadie, Julia, Lottie and Josephine.
