Julia's father was Abraham Heiser and her mother was Sarah Levy. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Heiser and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Barnett (Judah) Levy and Elizabeth Levy. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, Michael, Reuben, Harris, Joseph, David, Solomon, Lewis, Miriam, Rosa, Betsy and Priscilla. She was the fourth oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 75 on November 11th, 1932 in Nightingale House.¹
