Reuben Bittan

Reuben was born on March 1st, 1896 in Philadelphia.¹ Reuben's father was Benjamin Bittan and his mother was Rose (Rosa) Heiser. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Bittan and Esther Levy; his maternal grandparents were Abraham Heiser and Sarah Levy. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Benjamin, Samuel, James, Esther, Elizabeth, Sadie, Julia, Lottie and Josephine. He was the eighth oldest of the ten children.
