John Thomson

John was born in 1844 in Uphall.¹

John's father was Archibald Thomson and his mother was Margaret Paterson. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Thomson and Helen Cunningham; his maternal grandparents were Theophilus (John) John Paterson and Helen Cunningham. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Andrew, Alexander, Helen, Alison, Isabella and Agnes. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died due to a medical problem, Diarrhoea, 6 weeks, at the age of 24 on March 26th, 1868 in Broxburn.²
