Christian Philp

Christian was born on October 20th, 1758 in St. Cuthbert's parish and her baptism took place there on October 22nd, 1758.¹

Christian's father was George Philp and her mother was Margaret Finlayson.  Her maternal grandparents were James Finlayson and Anna Davidson. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, John, Robert, George, Ann and Agnes.  She was the second youngest of the seven children.
