Andrew Thomson

Andrew was born in October 1791 in Uphall and his baptism took place there on October 30th, 1791.^1 2

    Born in Uphall, West Lothian, son of Archibald Thomson and Alison Smeal (source: Jean Fraser, 2006).

Andrew's father was Archibald Thomson and his mother was Alison Smeal.  His paternal grandparents were James Thomson and Isabell Robertson; his maternal grandparents were Andrew Smeal and Janet Broun. He had four brothers and five sisters, named James, George, John, Archibald, Janet, Isabell, Alison, Margaret and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 60 on January 4th, 1852 in Broxburn.  He was buried on January 8th, 1852 in Uphall.^3 3
