Agnes Stevenson

Agnes was born in 1846 in Gorbals.¹²

  23 in 1871, so born between 3-Apr-1847 and 3-Apr-1848, 32 yrs according to 1881 (Apr 3) census, so born between Apr 4 1848 and Apr 3 1849
  43 in 1891 census, suggesting born on Apr 4th or 5th, 1848. However exactly same applies to husband, so more likely they added or subtracted a year at one of the censuses
  Her wedding: 22 on 6-nov-1868, suggesting born between 7-nov-1845 and 6-nov-1846
  Death 08-12-1898 aged 50 (reported by son) suggest between 9-12-1847 and 8-12-1848

Agnes' father was William Stevenson and her mother was Agnes Findlay. Her paternal grandparents were David Stevenson and Janet Hamilton; her maternal grandparents were Andrew Findlay and Isobel Shaw. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, James and Isabella. She died from cancer, cancer of uterus, at the age of 52 on December 8th, 1898 in Wallsend. She was buried on December 11th, 1898 in Wallsend.³⁴
