Margaret Patrick. His maternal grandparents were
David Patrick and
Jean Simson. He had two brothers and three sisters, named

Margaret. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died due to natural causes or old age, senile debility, at the age of 82 on December 23rd, 1882 in
Glasgow.
