John Stevenson 
John was born on September 19th, 1792 in Kilsyth and his baptism took place there on September 30th, 1792.1 His godfather was James Stivenson. John's father was William Stevenson and his mother was Margaret Patrick. His maternal grandparents were David Patrick and Jean Simson. He had two brothers and three sisters, named David, Joseph, Jean, Jean and Margaret. He was the oldest of the six children.
