Isobel Shaw (Isobella, Elisabeth)

Isobel was born on September 8th, 1785 in Kilsyth and her baptism took place there on September 11th, 1785.¹

Isobel's father was Alexander Shaw and her mother was Jean Tennant. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Shaw and Christian Kirkwood; her maternal grandparents were James Tennant and Jean Shaw. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named Robert, James, David, William, Alexander, James, John, Thomas, Jean, Christian and Jean. She was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. She died from a stroke, Palsy, at the age of 57 on December 23rd, 1842 in Kilsyth. She was buried on December 27th, 1841 in Kilsyth.²²
