James Shaw

James was born on May 10th, 1787 in Kilsyth.¹

James' father was Alexander Shaw and his mother was Jean Tennant. His paternal grandparents were Robert Shaw and Christian Kirkwood; his maternal grandparents were James Tennant and Jean Shaw. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Robert, James, David, William, Alexander, John, Thomas, Jean, Christian, Jean and Isobel. He was the third youngest of the twelve children. He died due to natural causes or old age, debility, at the age of 70 on August 15th, 1857 in Kilsyth. He was buried on August 15th, 1857 in Kilsyth.²²
