William Shaw

William was born on August 30th, 1777 in Kilsyth.

William's father was Alexander Shaw and his mother was Jean Tennant. His paternal grandparents were Robert Shaw and Christian Kirkwood; his maternal grandparents were James Tennant and Jean Shaw. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Robert, James, David, Alexander, James, John, Thomas, Jean, Christian, Jean and Isobel. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 62 in 1839 in Ohio.
