David Shaw

David was born on October 23rd, 1775 in Kilsyth.¹

David's father was Alexander Shaw and his mother was Jean Tennant. His paternal grandparents were Robert Shaw and Christian Kirkwood; his maternal grandparents were James Tennant and Jean Shaw. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Robert, James, William, Alexander, James, John, Thomas, Jean, Christian, Jean and Isobel. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 87 in 1862 in Kilsyth.
