Mary Agnes Bruce Johnston

Mary, known as Poll, was born on April 5th, 1883 in Kirkliston.¹

Poll's father was Andrew Johnston and her mother was Mary Bruce Turner. Her paternal grandparents were John Johnston and Ann Hardie Dick; her maternal grandparents were John Turner and Janet Catherine Thomson. She had six brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Big Shirt, Dodd, Jim, Robert, Janet and Ann. She was the youngest of the nine children. She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis, 5 months, at the age of 21 on January 21st, 1905 in Kirkliston. She was buried in Kirkliston.²³
