Eleanor was born about 1398 in Raby Castle, Durham, England.  Eleanor's father was Ralph De Neville and her mother was Joan De Beaufort.  Her paternal grandparents were John De Neville and Maud De Percy; her maternal grandparents were John of Gaunt and Catherine Roet. She had nine brothers and four sisters, named Richard, Henry, Thomas, Cuthbert, Robert, John, Edward, William, George, Joan, Catherine, Anne and Cecily.  She was the third oldest of the fourteen children. She had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named John, Ralph, Alice, Phillipa, Elizabeth, Maud, Anne and Margaret.  She died in 1472 in England.
