Edward I was born on June 18th, 1239 in Westiminister, Middlesex,  England.  Edward I's father was Henry III Plantagenet and his mother was Eleanor Berenger De Provence.  His paternal grandparents were John I Plantagenet and Isabella Taillefer De Angouleme; his maternal grandparents were Raymond Berengar V De Provence and Beatrix De Savoy. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Edmund, Richard, John, William, Margaret, Beatrix and Katherine.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 68 on July 7th, 1307 in Burgh-On-The-Sands, Cumberland, England.  He was buried on October 28th, 1307 in Westminster Abbey, London, Middlesex, England.


Edward I's first family with Eleanor of Castile

They had five sons and eight daughters, named John, Henry, Alphonso, Berengaria, Edward II, Eleanor, Joan, Isabel, Mary, Alice, Elizabeth, Beatrice and Blanche.


Edward I's second family with Marguerite of France

They had a son named Edmund.
