Maud was born about 1335 in Warkworth Castle, Alnwick, Northumberland, England.  Maud's father was Henry III De Percy and her mother was Idonea De Clifford.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry II De Percy and Eleanor FitzAlan; her maternal grandparents were Robert I De Clifford and Maud De Clare. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Henry V, Richard, Roger, Thomas, William, Margaret, Isabel and Eleanor.  She was the second youngest of the nine children.  She died on February 18th, 1378.

They had two sons and five daughters, named Thomas, Ralph, Maud, Alice, Eleanor, Idina and Elizabeth.
