Maurice FitzMaurice was born about 1238 in Wexford, Ireland. Maurice FitzMaurice's father was Maurice FitzGerald and his mother was Juliane De Cogan. His paternal grandparents were Gerald FitzMaurice FitzGerald and Eve De Bermingham; his maternal grandfather was John De Cogan and his maternal grandmother is Marie De Prendergast. He had two brothers named Gerald FitzMaurice and Thomas FitzMaurice. He was the youngest of the three children. He died in 1286 in Ross, Ireland.General Notes
