Alice le Brun was born about 1225 in Lusignan, France.  Alice le Brun's father was Hugh X De Lusignan and her mother was Isabella Taillefer De Angouleme.  Her paternal grandparents are Hugh IX De Lusignan and Matilda De la Marche; her maternal grandparents were Aymer Taillefer De Angouleme and Alice De Courtenay. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Hugh XI, Geoffrey, Henry, William De Valence, Guy, Agatha le Brun, Margaret le Brun, Aylmer and Isabella.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Henry III, Richard Angevin, Joan, Isabel and Eleanor.  She died on February 9th, 1255 in Austria-Hungary.

‌Alice le Brun and John were married in a religious ceremony in August 1247.  They had a son and two daughters, named William, Alianore Plantagenet and Isabel.
