Joan was born on July 22nd, 1210 in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England.  Joan's father was John I Plantagenet and her mother was Isabella Taillefer De Angouleme.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry II Plantagenet and Eleanore D'Aquitaine; her maternal grandparents were Aymer Taillefer De Angouleme and Alice De Courtenay. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry III, Richard Angevin, Isabel and Eleanor. She had six half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Richard, Hugh XI, Geoffrey, Henry, William De Valence, Guy, Joan, UNKNOWN, Agatha le Brun, Margaret le Brun, Alice le Brun, Aylmer and Isabella.  She died at the age of 26 on March 4th, 1237.
