Lucy Ann DeSpain

Lucy Ann was born on August 10th, 1820 in Green Co.,Kentucky.  Lucy Ann's father was Peter DeSpain and her mother was Nancy Skaggs.  Her paternal grandfather was John DeSpain and her paternal grandmother is Susan Scott; her maternal grandparents are Henry Skaggs and Mary Thompson. She had thirteen brothers and three sisters, named John M., Hiram, William Marshall, Stephen, Mark, James Simpson, Harrison, Silas, William Joseph, George Washington, Andrew Drury, Thomas, Edmund, Susanna Elizabeth, Mary and Nancy.  She was the youngest of the seventeen children. She had a half-brother named William Perry.  She died at the age of 76 in 1896 in Green Co.,Kentucky.

‌Lucy Ann and Elias were married in a religious ceremony on February 19th, 1846 in Green Co.,Kentucky.  They had a son and a daughter, named Richard and Sarah A..
