Harrison DeSpain

Harrison was born in September 1806 in Pitsmans Creek,Green Co.,Kentucky.  Harrison's father was Peter DeSpain and his mother was Nancy Skaggs.  His paternal grandfather was John DeSpain and his paternal grandmother is Susan Scott; his maternal grandparents are Henry Skaggs and Mary Thompson. He had twelve brothers and four sisters, named John M., Hiram, William Marshall, Stephen, Mark, James Simpson, Silas, William Joseph, George Washington, Andrew Drury, Thomas, Edmund, Susanna Elizabeth, Mary, Nancy and Lucy Ann.  He was the nineth oldest of the seventeen children. He had a half-brother named William Perry.  He died at the age of 70 on April 24th, 1877 in Harrison Co.,Indiana.

‌Harrison and Isabella were married in a religious ceremony on April 16th, 1829 in Pitmans Creek,Green Co.,Kentucky.  They had a son and two daughters, named Thomas E., Eliza A. and Barbara E..
