Eleanor I was born about 1373 in Upholland, Lancashire, England.  Eleanor I's father was Thomas II de Holland and her mother was Alice FitzAlan of Arundel.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas de Holland and Joan Plantagenet the Fair Maid of Kent; her maternal grandparents were Richard II Copped Hat FitzAlan of Arundel and Eleanor Plantagenet of Lancaster. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, John, Edmund, Joan, Elizabeth, Margaret, Eleanor II and Bridget.


Eleanor I's first family with Roger de Mortimer

‌Eleanor I and Roger were married in a religious ceremony on October 7th, 1388.  They had two sons and three daughters, named Edmund, Roger, Anne, Eleanor and Alice.


Eleanor I's second family with Edward de Cherleton

‌Eleanor I and Edward were married in a religious ceremony after June 19th, 1399.  They had two daughters named Joan and Joyce.
