Alice FitzAlan of was born in 1352 in Arundel Castle, Sussex, England.  Alice FitzAlan of's father was Richard II Copped Hat FitzAlan of Arundel and her mother was Eleanor Plantagenet of Lancaster.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund Fitzalan of Arundel and Alice de Warenne; her maternal grandparents were Henry Plantagenet of Lancaster and Maud de Chaworth. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John Fitzalan of, Richard III Fitzalan of, Thomas Fitzalan of, Elizabeth Fitzalan of and Joan Fitzalan of.  She was the second youngest of the six children. She had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Edmund Fitzalan of, Henry, Philippa, Mary (Isabel), Eleanor, Joan and Maud.

‌Alice FitzAlan of and Thomas II were married in a religious ceremony on April 10th, 1364.  They had three sons and six daughters, named Thomas, John, Edmund, Eleanor I, Joan, Elizabeth, Margaret, Eleanor II and Bridget.
