William Mather

William was born on February 11th, 1802 in Croft and his baptism took place on March 21st, 1802 at St. Oswald (Winwick).¹

William's father was William Mather and his mother was Martha Welch. His paternal grandparents were William Mather and Ann Monks. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named William, Thomas, James, John, Jane, Ellen, Ann, Elizabeth, Mary, Margaret and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. He died at 6 months old in August 1802 in Croft. He was buried on August 6th, 1802 at St. Oswald (Winwick).¹
