In 1848, wife Sarah died, and 18 Aug 1851, Thomas Mather (39, Wid), labourer, son of William (dec.) married Mary Mather (22) at St Elphin, Warrington. Both were living at Burtonwood, and both parents deceased.
In 1861, Thomas and Mary (48 & 30) were living at Back Albert Street, St Helens with Peter (19), Elizabeth (10), Thomas (8) and John (2). Catherine Gibbons (36) was a lodger.
